The proper disposal is important to run a long race.
The vast majority of 10km, run with so-called negative split. This means that the last part of the course, makes it faster than the first portion. Most run fast at the start of the race, and it is not optimal.
I would recommend that you run fastest at the end. There at preventing that you get tired in the legs the first 3-7km.
The most important thing is that you listen and feel your body's signals so you do not get serious injuries.
